We were thrilled to team up with Network Rail & Pennant to deliver an immersive VR solution for Driver Route Learning, supporting the £56.8m Mid Cornwall Metro Project!
This ambitious project brings coast-to-coast connectivity, linking Newquay, Par, St Austell, Truro, Penryn, and Falmouth with a reliable hourly rail service. A new passing loop at Tregoss Moor will allow trains to run in both directions, making year-round local services a reality!
✅TNR was tasked with creating high-fidelity VR models of Newquay Station and the passing loop to enhance driver training. By blending VR tech, real cab footage, and motion-tracked assets, we delivered a cutting-edge, cost-effective solution ahead of schedule.
✅The project commenced on September 1st, and despite the ambitious deadline of October 2024, TNR successfully delivered the VR components ahead of schedule. This timely delivery facilitated the seamless integration of these components into the comprehensive driver route learning package created by Track Access Services.
